Course Description:
Carpentry/ Cabinetmaking I is a one-year,
three credit course in which students are taught the safe and correct
use of hand and power tools used in the cabinet-making trade. Students
learn techniques and develop skills needed to produce custom-made
cabinets by designing cabinets, producing cabinet plans, preparing
plans of procedure, cutting and shaping cabinet components, assembling
and installing components, and applying finishing materials.
