Dates to Remember for second semester (2004) - mark these in your student planner:
April 22 - "Drum Circles" with Professor Savage from UNC
May 6 - Spring Concert Time! Students should meet in the band room by 6:30 P.M.
May 7-8 All City Band for selected sixth and seventh graders at Indian River High School. More information will be passed out to selected members.
May 8 - Jubilee Pans Steel Drum Band to perform at the All City Band Clinic at Indian River High School during lunch. Times are TBA
March 29 - The Jubilee Pans will perform at the Chesapeake Public Schools Retirement Dinner. Students will meet at Indian River High School at 6:30 P.M.
May 22 Seventh and Eighth Grade Band to compete at the Musicale Competition in Williamsburg. We will meet at CWM very early in the morning and return late that night.
June 4 - Jubilee Pans will be performing at Hickory Middle School in the morning. Students should plan to arrive at CWM by 8:30 A.M.
June 4 - The seventh and eighth grade bands will be taking a cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk. We will travel via CPS school buses to and from the trip. Return time will be 5:30 P.M.
Please consult your band handbook for information regarding proper dress
for concerts.
