Students will explore various literary works; examine both fiction and nonfiction material, and read novels, both in class and out.  Oral communication skills will be emphasized and journals will be used daily to practice writing.

History and Social Science 
(7 and Honors)
Seventh Grade History and Social Science covers from the Age of Exploration through the Period of Reconstruction.  Students study United States history in chronological sequence and learn about change and continuity in our history.  Students will examine the everyday life of people at different times in our history through the use of primary and secondary sources.

Mathematics
(7 and Pre-Algebra)
Math 7 students will study properties of real numbers, linear equations, geometry, and data analysis techniques.
Pre-Algebra students will study algebraic expressions, graphing equations and inequalities, function analysis and matrices.
Ms. Roy
Science 
(7 and Honors)
Students will explore and investigate the nature of life science.  Topics covered will include lab safety, ecology, conservation of living things, cell structure, classification of living things, heredity and adaptation, the 5 Kingdoms of organisms, and using the scientific method of problem solving.  Various lab exercises will help reinforce the basic principles of life science.
