Mission Statement

The mission of the Crestwood Middle School counseling program aligns with the school mission to produce critical thinkers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Through a comprehensive, developmental counseling program, professional school counselors will provide academic, personal/social and career services to assist students in maximizing their potential. In collaboration with students, faculty, families and the community, the school counselors will assist students in becoming a part of a physically, socially and emotionally safe school so that they are equipped to master the school’s rigorous curriculum.

Services

The CMS School Counseling Program provides services to students that address their academic, personal/social and career development goals. Among those services are:

* Individual and small group curriculum planning and course selection
* Classroom guidance lessons
* Individual and small group counseling in the areas of academic 
           preparation and personal/social development
* Crisis response services
* Parent and community collaboration
 

Parents are encouraged to take an active role in the 
educational process of their children. 

Books and information about children and adolescents are 
available in the counseling office for parents to borrow.
