Thank you for stopping at our Homepage. Deep Creek Elementary is a
K-5 school in the Chesapeake Public School system. Our school is located
in the city of Chesapeake, which is in the Southeastern part of
Virginia, also known as Hampton Roads.
Our school is dedicated to educating students in a positive, safe,
caring, and challenging environment. We understand our roles as
educators and realize that we establish the foundation for learning for
all of our students. We believe in community involvement and encourage
our parents and members of our community to take an active part in
educating our students.

Basketball |
Student Faculty Basketball Game a HUGE success!
A collection of 24 fifth grade students and 17 faculty members
faced off on the hardcourt at Deep Creek Middle School on April
9th. The students squeaked out a victory with the score 33
to 32. There were over 150 spectators in attendance.
The DCE Chorus performed at half-time and our faculty and
student Spirit Teams added to the fun. This will likely be
an annual event. Thanks to all who volunteered, played,
and watched this exciting event. |

Teacher of the Year |
Congratulations to our newest Teacher of the
Year, Joey Robins. Mr. Robins teaches fifth grade.
He has over 5 years teaching
experience and is a dedicated and caring professional who is an
asset to Deep Creek Elementary. Mr. Robins is currently
working on his Master's Degree in Education. |

Outstanding SOL Results!! |
Deep Creek Elementary's results from the 2008 SOL's were awesome. We saw many improvements from the
previous year's scores and once again are a FULLY ACCREDITED
school!! In addition, we also met the requirements for AYP
this past year. Congratulations to the students and staff
from Deep Creek Elementary for their continuing commitment to
excellence. |
