Thank you for stopping at our Homepage. Deep Creek Elementary is a
K-5 school in the Chesapeake Public School system. Our school is located
in the city of Chesapeake, which is in the Southeastern part of
Virginia, also known as Hampton Roads.
Our school is dedicated to educating students in a positive, safe,
caring, and challenging environment. We understand our roles as
educators and realize that we establish the foundation for learning for
all of our students. We believe in community involvement and encourage
our parents and members of our community to take an active part in
educating our students.

Field Day 2008 |
This year our Field Days will be on consecutive
days the last week of school (Tuesday, June 10th and Wednesday,
June 1tth) June 10th will be our Primary Field Day (grades
1 & 2). June 11th will be our Intermediate Field Day
(grades 3 - 5). We are hopeful that parents will be able
to attend and possibly volunteer to help us run each station.

Outstanding SOL Results!! |
Deep Creek Elementary's results from the 2007 SOL's were awesome. We saw many improvements from the
previous year's scores and once again are a FULLY ACCREDITED
school!! In addition, we also met the requirements for AYP
this past year. Congratulations to the students and staff
from Deep Creek Elementary for their continuing commitment to
excellence. |

Year, Karen Burns. Mrs. Burns teaches one of our
Pre-school classes. She has over 20 years teaching
experience and is a dedicated and caring professional who is an
