Mr. Hardee has served as principal of Deep Creek High School since 1972. He is a graduate of Deep Creek High School, holds an BA degree from East Carolina University, a Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Virginia, and a Certificate of Advanced Study from Old Dominion University. He serves on numerous educational committees for Chesapeake Public Schools, the Southeastern District Executive Committee, the Eastern Regional Division, and the Virginia High School League. He is active in the Chesapeake Association for Public School Administrators, Virginia and National Association of Secondary School Administrators, the Deep Creek Ruritan Club, and holds a lifetime membership in the PTSA. He and his wife are members of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Hardee is totally dedicated to young people and to public education. It is his desire to see that an educational environment is created at all times which is conducive to learning. This learning environment is also a pleasant one which allows students and staff members to enjoy themselves while learning and teaching.
A positive, genuine concern for people makes him an educational leader who has a desire to do the best he possibly can in anything he undertakes.
Ms. Bagley began her second career in education at Deep Creek High School in 1993. As the Assistant Principal for Instruction, she also serves as the liaison for Deep Creek PTSA and SOL Test Improvement. She is a Chesapeake Public Schools graduate, holds a BA degree in Management from Virginia Wesleyan College, a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and an Advanced Studies degree in Educational Administration from Old Dominion University. Ms. Bagley is a member of numerous community service organizations, Chesapeake Association for Public School Administrators, Parent Teacher Student Association and the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Ms. Bagley believes that public education serves to educate all children of all people.
Dr. Sykes is the Assistant Principal for the eleventh and twelfth grade students. He also handles school bus transportation and school locker assignments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education from Norfolk State University, a Masters Degree in Industrial Education from Virginia State University. He also holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies and a Doctor of Education from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Sykes is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity of Portsmouth, Eureka Club, Inc. of Portsmouth, Chesapeake NAACP, Virginia and National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Chesapeake Association of Public School Administrators and is chairman the Portsmouth Parks and Recreation Commissioners Board.
Dr. Sykes is a member of Grove Baptist Church.
His educational philosophy is that it is the job of all school staff members to try and educate all the students.
Ms. Milteer is the liaison for Special Education and she handles all discipline in that area. Also, she serves as the Crisis Intervention Liaison, Homebound Coordinator, Student Dress Code Liaison for Girls, along with other daily administrative tasks.
Ms. Milteer earned two Bachelors' Degrees from Norfolk State University in Food Science and Nutrition, Home Economics Education as well as a Master of Arts degree in Urban Education. She went on to do further study and earned her endorsement in educational administration.
Ms. Milteer is an active participant in her professional and community organizations. Professionally, she is a member of the Chesapeake Association of Public School Administrators, Parent Teacher Student Association, and the Virginia Counselor's Association. Her community organizations include membership in the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, National Alumni Association of Norfolk State University, and the Zeta Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is an active member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Ms. Milteer is totally dedicated to young people, public education and strives daily to provide an environment that has a positive impact on students and colleagues. Her motto each day is to "Leave Heart Prints! Heart prints of compassion, of understanding, and love, Heart prints of kindness and genuine concern."
