ACCESS

The ACCESS College Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to help YOU get to college.  They offer a variety of services to help you focus and get ready for college.  Specifically, ACCESS Advisors file federal applications for student aid for students during their senior year in high school until they graduate from college.  Also, ACCESS Advisors provide free SAT Prep workshops and college tours to juniors and seniors.  Lastly, ACCESS Advisors assist students with SAT, ACT and college application waivers.  

Mr. Antwan Perry, ACCESS advisor for Deep Creek High School, assists juniors and seniors with preparation for college three days per week.  Mr. Perry is available Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  in the guidance suite to assist students and answer questions regarding all sources of financial aid from the federal government, the state government, colleges, and other sources of scholarships as well as the completion of the FAFSA form ( a requirement for any type of financial aid).  You may contact him by phone at 757-558-5313 or by email.

TCC Dual Enrollment Information

Students can get a jump start on college by taking Dual Enrollment English!  Students earn high school credits as well as six college credits after completing the year-long course.  The course, taught by Mrs. Remington-Hereford in cooperation with Tidewater Community College, focuses on various expository writing.  In addition, students immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of college level literature.
