Time Recovery

TIME RECOVERY CENTER (TRC) PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES:

Students must check with their teacher prior to attending the Time Recovery Center to see if any specific work is to be completed during the 90-minute make-up sessions. If the teacher decides not to assign any specific work, the student is expected to study independently on course material from that class for which time is being recovered. Students not working on assignments will be asked to leave without credit for the make-up day.

Students are provided the opportunity to make up two days of absence from each class. They must attend one 90-minute study session for each class. For example: If a student wants to make up a day of absence in English and a day of absence in History, he/she must attend two afternoon study sessions, or an entire Saturday session.

The Time Recovery Center dates and times are as follows:

  • Monday, January 10, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 8:00am to 11:00am
  • Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm
  • Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 8:00am to 11:00am
  • Monday, January 24, 2011 from 3:45pm to 5:15pm

Students must report promptly to the Commons Area or you will not be allowed to attend for that day! (Please note: meeting place may be subject to change.)

If a student plans to request extenuating circumstances for excessive absences (12 or more) for a particular class, he/she MUST still attend the Time Recovery Center to make up two days of absence from that class. A maximum of two days may be recovered per class. Students may obtain a request-for-extenuating-circumstances form after Winter Break.
