2009-2010 Teacher of the Year
Mrs. Carol Russell
Perhaps all Teacher of the Year candidates share certain qualities: responsible, professional, caring, generous, kind, fair, hard working, prepared, dedicated, and so many more. Indeed, Teachers of the Year are special people. GBHS is extremely proud to announce that Carol Russell was selected as the 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year. She is a person who exhibits these qualities by helping students whenever she can, volunteering to help set up for special events, and serving on various committees throughout her years at GBHS. Mrs. Russell has been teaching for 39 years, 19 of which have been at this school. She is a member of the English department and has taught all levels of English including dual enrollment English. Congratulations, Mrs. Russell!
