Mr. Robert Sander, Principal


Mr. Robert Sander is from Buffalo, New York. He was educated in Kenmore, New York. Before entering an administrative role, Mr. Sander taught elementary school for nine years. He also served as an assistant principal for nine years before becoming building principal. As a teacher, Mr. Sander was selected as the Teacher of the Year for Norfolk and Chesapeake Public Schools respectively. Mr. Sander loves when students enjoy learning new things, especially in the area of math!

Mr. Sander feels that the field of education is an important profession that is both noble and honorable. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State College and his Master’s degree from Old Dominion University.

Additionally, Mr. Sander is an avid Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Kansas City Royals fan (don’t ask)! He also enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Ms. Alexander, Assistant Principal


Khadijah Alexander is a Bronx, New York native but was educated in both the Norfolk and Chesapeake Public School Systems. Before entering into administration, Ms. Alexander taught elementary school for 11 years. Her passion is literacy and as a teacher she was the Balanced Literacy Facilitator for her school. Ms. Alexander was also selected as Reading Teacher of the Year.

Being a life-long learner, education has been significant both personally and professionally in Ms. Alexander’s life. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Norfolk State University and her Master of Arts in Education Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix.

Additionally, Ms. Alexander is an avid sports fan. Her teams include the New York Yankees, New York Knicks, and Washington Redskins (don’t hold it against her). Ms. Alexander loves caring for and spending time with her Yorkie, Nas. She enjoys reading, shopping, decorating, traveling, and giving back to her community.
