Our SOL Remediation Schedule has been finalized! Notice that W!SE test sessions are included as all students need this as a graduation requirement.  Our SOL Study Sessions and Power Sessions are a very important part of our Grassfield culture. Our data shows that students who attend these sessions have a higher chance of passing the SOL. In fact, in every subject area last year, over 92% of students who attended one or more sessions, passed the SOL. Also, of the students who failed the first attempt, most were eligible for an expedited retake.  Please remember that if a student passes their expedited retake, they can now use that score for the SOL Exam Exemption.

The Extended Day Program has been established to help students who could fail courses due to absences. A student may redeem one class for one extended day period. Student who have excessive absences and have not attended the extended day program may not be considered for extenuating circumstances. Students must obtain an extended day slip from their teacher (of the class with attendance issues) and submit the slip to the Extended Day Monitor for entry to the scheduled Extended Day session. The session is held from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. No student is to be admitted after 3:45 p.m. nor will they be allowed to leave prior to 5:15 p.m. without losing credit for the session.

If you have any questions about Extended Day, contact Mr. Brian Haughinberry.
