Media Center: Online Databases
 

ON-LINE DATABASES

The databases are available to HHS students through the Internet. Students may access these programs at home free of charge. Students should ask a media staff for handout with login information.

 

• Britannica Online
  
  Content: This resource contains entries found in Encyclopedia Britannica; Britannica Intermediate, Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary. Access to evaluated websites is included.

 

• eLibrary

Content: This site contains full-text newspaper and magazine articles.

• Gale Online Databases
  
  Content: Topics related to most areas of the curriculum; biographies; literary criticism, analysis and plot summaries.

 

• SIRS Online
  
  Content: Provides relevant, credible information on social issues, science, history, government, the arts and humanities.

• World Book Online
  
  Content: This resource contains the entries found in World Book Encyclopedia, maps, multimedia reviewed websites.
