Safe Routes to School Survey
Chesapeake Public Schools is in the process of reapplying for the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant for the 2017-2018 school year. In accordance with the National Center for Safe Routes program, one of the requirements of the grant is to collect general data, related to students who walk or ride bikes to school, via an online Parent Survey. The survey is voluntary and asks for general information, such as:
• School name
• Grade of student
• Distance families live from school
• How the student(s) travels to and from school on a typical day
• Daily travel time to and from school
• Potential challenges that impact the decision to walk/bike to school
• Opinions and feedback about walking/biking to school
Parents will be able to access the survey through Peachjar. The survey link will only be active for a 10- day period, beginning March 20th - March 31st. It is our hope that each parent will participate in the survey, at least once during the 10-day active period. We appreciate your support.
