School Mission Statement
The mission of Oscar Smith
Middle is to provide a quality education for all students by
setting high academic standards and providing diverse
instructional, social, physical, and cultural opportunities with
the support of students, families, staff, and community in an
inclusive, safe and caring environment.
SOL Testing begins May 18th and will end May 29th
Make-Up Time for OSMS As a result of schools
being closed February 25-27, changes have been made to the
school schedule. In order to meet state requirements,
the missed instructional time will be made up as follows:
Parents of Rising Freshmen
The April 3, 2015 teacher work day will
become a regular session day for all students and
the teacher workday will be waived.
Five minutes will be added to the end of the school day,
beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Our school hours will be 8:15-2:58
All of the additional minutes will end with the closing
of school in June.
Public School is excited to offer a new Career
Pathway in Mechatronics to the Class of 2019.
