National Honor Society

Purpose: Service to the community and school; and to honor those students who embody scholarship, service, character, and leadership in our school.

Meeting Time / Location: Media Center, 3rd. Friday of each month, 8:15 am

Special qualifications/requirements: This is an national organization, rather than a club. Members are chosen in the spring from the sophomore and junior classes. Students must have a 3.4 GPA to be considered for membership and may not have any Honor Code violations.

Additional info: Members are expected to participate in one fund-raising activity each year; must attend meetings; must maintain a 3.4 GPA; must help with the Spring Induction and /or Academic Awards Banquet; and must complete 20 service hours per year: 10 in-school and 10 out-of-school.

Beginning with the Class of 2011, students must have a GPA of 3.5 to qualify for membership.
