The Earth is a dynamic body that consists of many separate but interacting parts - the solid Earth, the hydrosphere, the atmosphere and the biosphere. A change in any one part can produce changes in any or all of the other parts, often in ways that are not immediately apparent. In order to fully understand the Earth we must learn about these components and how they interact with one another.
