The Great Solar Eclipse of 2009

The longest total solar eclipse in our lifetime occurred on July 22, 2009.  Totality lasted 6 minutes and 42.3 seconds.  This is the longest totality until the year 2132. 

This solar eclipse was visible in India, China Southern Japanese Islands and the South Pacific.
