Pluto the "Dwarf Planet".

Pluto is now classified as a Dwarf Planet.  It is smaller than Earth's moon and has a very strange orbit that brings it closer to the Sun than Neptune.   We do not have any really good photographs of Pluto.

In 1976 it was discovered that Pluto has a small moon.  It is only 700 miles in diameter but that is almost 1/3 the size of Pluto!

Now Pluto's moon is also classified as a "Dwarf Plant"........ This may change so keep reading about Pluto.
