The Parent Resource Center provides the following services:
Serves Chesapeake parents whose children are or will be enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools.

Provides workshops and training sessions for parents and educators.

Promotes a working relationship between parents, educators and community.
Obtains information and consults with parents to provide direction related to educational issues and community services.
Maintains a lending library of current educational resources for parents and educators.
The Parent Resource Center library offers parents and professionals a valuable collection of resources including books, videos, and pamphlets to assist you in better understanding and parenting all children including those with special needs. The library also includes materials on family interaction, education, and roles and responsibilities in the educational process as well as a children’s section.The PRC will remain open throughout the summer to serve parents, educators, and other interested members of the community.

Additional times are available by appointment.  Please feel free to stop by or call for an appointment.  PRC is occasionally closed due to staff attendance at meetings or conferences.

The Parent Resource Center plans workshops throughout the school year for parents and educators.  A primary goal of the Parent Resource Center is to encourage active parental involvement and to promote a partnership between parents and educators.
