Saturday School Information

Great Bridge High School takes pride in students attending school on a regular basis. At the beginning of the school year, we emphasized the importance of attending school and if a student missed 10 days in one or more blocks, they would need to apply for extenuating circumstances through the Attendance Waiver Request form. We understand student illnesses, medical appointments and unforeseen circumstances; however if a student missed 10 or more days they are at risk of failing the class regardless of their grade.

As an opportunity to assist when applying for extenuating circumstances on the Attendance Waiver Request form, your student is strongly encouraged to attend one of the three Saturday school sessions available this semester. Saturday school will be held on April 25, May 16, or May 30, 2026. All sessions will be from 8:00-11:00 am.

Expectations while at Saturday school are as follows:

Parent and/or student is responsible for transportation to and from

Cell phone usage is prohibited during 8:00-11:00 am - Off and Away

Food or drinks will not be provided

Attendance is expected for the entire duration of hours to be considered for extenuating circumstances

Student shall bring school work or a book to read while attending

Please understand that if a student attends Saturday school, he/she is not automatically approved for extenuating circumstances. Documentation is still required as well as the application completion that will be available in June 2026.
