Team Academy consists of your student’s English, math, science, and social studies classes. Teaming gives students and teachers the opportunity to belong to a smaller community where members can be more supportive of each other and share common goals.

Team Academy is excited to welcome all of our students to 8th grade. The team will be reviewing through the policies and procedures of the school, as well as issuing lockers during the first week back. Please review the IRM School Supply List for this year. If you have any questions or have issues obtaining the items, please let the team know. Students will be provided with a school agenda during the first week. Replacement agendas are available for $5 at the school store. It is mandatory that all students use their agenda daily to write down assignments and homework. 

Each member of Team Academy will be fully valued and will help establish acceptable behavioral norms that ensure all members are safe and included in the community. It will be the responsibility of each team member to uphold their end of the commitment and to help hold others accountable as well. Here are the principles that establish the framework of the Full Value Commitment:

Team Academy utilizes the policy set forth by Chesapeake Public Schools. Grades are calculated for all students using the following guidelines: Practice 30%, Quizzes 30%, Tests 40%
