Knight Families -
To prepare for the winter storm that may affect us this weekend, we have sent student Chromebooks home today. (Wed, Jan 28th)

The Chromebooks should stay powered off until we know if we will need them for next week. CPS will announce if we get a snow day, a virtual learning day (Asynchronous), or a live learning day (Synchronous).

Teachers will post more information in Canvas and email families - choice boards, links and directions, and Google Meet (if Synchronous).

Please keep your child's Chromebook safe - in their book bag or on a hard, flat surface like a desk or table. Off the floor, couch or bed, and away from food and drinks.

Chromebooks are used for educational purposes only! Students should not be on YouTube or playing games.

Thank you for returning the Chromebooks as soon as we return to school.

Stay warm and safe! ❄💜

This past Friday, Kayden competed in his first VEX-IQ Competitive Robotics Competition, which featured middle schools from across the Chesapeake area. Kayden is a member of Deep Creek Middle School’s Competitive Robotics Team and is part of the only fifth-grade team competing at the middle school level in this competition.

We are proud to share that his team received the Judges Award. This award is given to a team that demonstrates outstanding effort, perseverance, teamwork, and professionalism throughout the competition. Judges consider not only the robot’s performance, but also the students’ problem-solving skills, collaboration, sportsmanship, and ability to clearly explain their design process and learning journey. Receiving this award is a meaningful recognition of the team’s dedication and growth.

We are incredibly proud of Kayden for representing Camelot Elementary School and Deep Creek Middle School with such excellence and for rising to the challenge of competing above his grade level!
