Pharmacy Tech students had an incredible hands-on experience during their field trip to VCU’s School of Pharmacy! 💊🧪
Students explored both non-sterile and sterile compounding labs—creating their own lip balm and even practicing the compounding of simulation chemotherapy medications in a sterile environment. This real-world experience gave them a deeper understanding of the skills and precision required in the pharmacy field.

From baking and reading to walking in the sunshine, slime making, and even writing worries on a plate and smashing it — every presentation showed a different way to cope and recharge.
Students loved learning from each other and realizing how important stress management is, especially in a high-pressure career like 911 dispatch. We are so proud of the thoughtful work they put into this project! 💙🚨
