Congratulations Ms. Rosilyn Givens-Tennessee

Since 2012, Ms. Rosilyn Givens-Tennessee has called CCC home. As a cosmetology teacher, she shares her love of the industry with her students. Her goal is to provide her students with a safe, positive, energetic, and creative place to pursue their love of the industry.

Ms. Givens-Tennessee's direct impact on student life at Chesapeake Career Center is hard to overstate. Her commitment to providing students with quality instruction and hands-on experience in the lab and at Buffalow Family and Friends community salon has equipped students with a service learning opportunity and a heart for others that cannot be replicated at CCC. She, along with 12-15 student volunteers, provide free hair services for people in the community twice a month.

In addition to providing exceptional classroom instruction and hands-on experiences for students, Ms. Givens-Tennessee has served as SkillsUSA advisor, and our PBIS committee chair. She was the first faculty member inducted into the National Technical Honor Society.
