Lisa Lynch
Talent Development Specialist
Professional and Organizational Development

"Lisa is truly the model of a Chesapeake Public Schools leader. Her passion and dedication for the success of the teachers she works with is evident in everything she does. She has touched the lives of many people in our school system. This is evident just by walking with her through SAB or a school building. She is stopped every minute by someone wanting to greet her. When attending a recent conference, it was evident that Chesapeake Public Schools is at the forefront of leading effective Mentoring Programs. This is thanks to Lisa's vision and efforts over the past several years. Everyone who gets to work with her considers themselves blessed, myself included. She is well deserving of this award."

Paul "Chip" Elmer
Teacher
Grassfield High School

"Chip’s influence extends beyond academics. He hones his own skills to better prepare students for their futures—whether they choose to enlist, enroll, or enter the workforce—through his work with the Virginia Space Grant Consortium as a mentor and counselor. Furthermore, he fosters teamwork, discipline, and resilience as the Men's Volleyball Coach at Grassfield High School, helping students grow not just intellectually but physically and emotionally as well. He embodies the very essence of what it means to be an outstanding educator. His passion for teaching, his commitment to his students, and his tireless efforts to provide opportunities for growth and achievement make him an invaluable asset to Chesapeake Public Schools. It is educators like Chip who inspire, empower, and shape the future of our community."

LEAD

Tracy Reynolds
Assistant Principal
Deep Creek Middle School

"Mrs. Reynolds is a strong leader in our school who offers supports to all aspects of our community. With staff, she leads our MTSS training, offers coaching and assistance when needed, and spends time working with new teachers to help them gain the tools they need to be successful. Mrs. Reynolds takes the time to sit down with staff and help with MTSS plans in Synergy or with problem-solving a student situation. With students, Mrs. Reynolds is always available to speak with. If she's not, you're added to her list! She works very hard to help students understand any mistakes in their behavior while also suggesting ways to improve next time. Mrs. Reynolds is a joy to work with and we are lucky to have her at Deep Creek Middle!"
