Tuesday, April 21, 2026 is a special election in the state of Virginia. The high school (grades 9-12) remote learning day follows 45-minute blocks with 15-minute transitions:

Bell 1: 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM

Bell 2: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM

Bell 3: 11:00 AM – 11:45 AM

Lunch: 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM

Bell 4: 12:15 PM – 1:00 PM

1:1 Support Appointments (Scheduled as needed): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

High School (Grades 9-12) Instructional Overview

During asynchronous learning, students work independently to complete assignments. While students are not required to log in to live sessions for attendance, teachers are available throughout the day for support.

Key Requirements

Accessing Work: Teachers will post all assignments in Canvas by 8:30 AM.

Teacher Support: Teachers will be logged into Google Meet at the beginning of each bell to provide office hours and 1:1 assistance. Student attendance is not mandatory, but students should log in if they need assistance completing asynchronous assignments for their course. (Students can find the Google Meet access code within their specific Canvas course.)

Attendance: Student attendance will be collected by the teacher as determined by the completion and submission of assigned work. Students have up to five instructional days after returning to school to submit work and be marked present.

A/B Schedule: Support for alternating day classes follows the existing A/B day calendar.
