A few of our second grade classes had a blast diving into robotics with Mrs. Spry yesterday! 🤖✨ Students explored coding, problem-solving, and moving the Sphero Indi robot through different challenges. We loved watching their creativity and teamwork shine! And a huge thank you to our PTA for purchasing these awesome robots for our new STEAM Lab!

Ms. Addington’s class had an amazing day at the zoo! 🐾🌍 We “traveled” through different continents and explored all kinds of animals while learning about their unique adaptations. From desert survivors to rainforest climbers, our students were so excited to discover how each animal is built for its environment. Such a fun and memorable day of learning! 🦁🦒

🩺🐝 On Friday, our 2nd Grade Bees joined in on the fun and became doctors for a day! 🐝🩺 Their classrooms transformed into a mini hospital as they reviewed skills in a hands-on, exciting way! Students rotated through themed stations including: 💊 Pharmacy Sort – practicing sorting and classifying 🦴 X-Ray Sort – matching and identifying 🤒 Symptom Checker – using clues to problem-solve 🔢 Number Surgery – “operating” on numbers to solve problems The Bees loved stepping into doctor roles, and their hard work made this review day a huge success! 🐝❤️🏥

🏥💯 Our 2nd grade Eagles became place value doctors last Thursday! During their Place Value Hospital, students rotated through four fun, hands-on “hospital” stations to practice their math skills and fix up some number patients. Our students in Ms. Addington’s and Ms. Christianson’s class are beginning their first hydroponics project! 🌱
This week, they planted their first batch of lettuce in the school’s hydroponics lab. Students will monitor water levels, nutrients, and growth as part of our hands-on science learning. They are looking forward to a delicious harvest!

2nd graders starting hydroponics project

Our baby wildcats have been learning all about feelings, the Zones of Regulation, and different coping tools to help manage big emotions. Last week, during a classroom guidance lesson with Mrs. Rich, Ms. Shinn's 2nd grade students rotated through four hands-on stations to practice strategies for returning to the “green zone.”

They explored calming techniques at the breathing station, fidget station, yoga station, and coloring station—all while listening to relaxing, under-the-sea music.

What a wonderful way to build emotional awareness and self-regulation skills!

Join us from Monday, October 27th to Friday, November 7th as we collect new, unopened personal items to support our Veterans.

Second Grade: Please bring in warm clothing items — knit hats, socks, gloves, mittens, scarves, etc.

Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade: Please bring in personal care items — lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo/conditioner, soap, body wash, deodorant, chapstick, combs/brushes.
