The Culinary Hawks were one of 10 national/international teams to compete in Houston at the NASA Hunch Culinary Challenge. They presented their dish in front of 25 judges, explaining how it met the nutritional needs of astronauts. We will get the results in a few weeks.... stay tuned! They did an absolutely amazing job! They were even able to sign a locker that will be sent to the International Space Station!

Hickory High School's Red Cross Club has been nominated for Virginia Red Cross Club of the Year by the Coastal Virginia Region of the American Red Cross. The club has sponsored a successful blood drive, completed service projects for our troops and veterans, and will be hosting another blood drive on May 10. In the meantime, they have plans to educate classmates about how the American Red Cross provides disaster relief to those in need and about the multitude of volunteer opportunities within the Red Cross organization. Congratulations on your nomination!
