School Supplies
Our 6th Grade School Supply List is based on data collected over the past three years of the essentials that work for students entering middle school. The goal is to create a system that is manageable so that students keep up with their learning materials giving them better access to succeeding and so that their materials are protected which avoids repair costs that parents often incur. We are committed to not grouping student supplies into a class communal repository of materials. The supplies you provide for your child belong to them. If you see a BRAND listed, it is not because we are promoting that specific brand, it is literally because of the quality of the material.
➽ Item 1: Forvencer Binder Pocket, 10 Pack Super Heavyweight Plastic Folders with Tight Closure (Visit Amazon.com to purchase Binder Pocket)
This is the only brand-specific school supply that is needed. Please make certain to obtain a 10-pack of these binder pockets with a VELCRO connector (not a snap closing). We are on a mission to help students keep up with their learning materials so that parents can help their students review their learning materials at home daily.
➽ Item 2: One 3”-inch Binder – You Choose
Students will maintain their heavyweight binder folders for each class in one binder. The design of the folders will eliminate the excuse that “I lost my paper” or “It fell out of my notebook”. These folders will house their notes by unit so that teachers do not have to hole punch them. They will also have returned and graded papers as well as any other study materials that students need to be successful.
NOTE: Teachers may also elect to have an additional interactive notebook based on their individual subject needs, but this one binder will be the main learning management system used by the entire 6th grade.
➽ Item 3: Chromebook Case – You Choose
Parents, trust us, you’re going to want your child’s Chromebook to be well-protected from drops and clumsiness that will cause the screen to crack or a key to end up missing. Parents are obligated to pay for repairs and the costs can add up. Chromebooks will be distributed to students during the first week of school.
➽ Item 4: Pencil/Pen/Wired Earbuds Pouch or Case – You Choose
This year, we are determined to help students keep up with their writing tools & earbuds instead of them having to constantly ask their classmates or teacher to borrow these.
➽ Item 5: 10+ Pencils, Pens, Highlighters, and Glue Sticks – You Choose
➽ Item 6: Pencil Sharpener w/ an Enclosure for Shavings – You Choose
➽ Item 7: Wired, Non-Bluetooth Earbuds – You Choose
NOTE: Items 5 - 7 need to be restocked throughout the school year as needed
