Your student’s assigned 🚍 bus route information is available on our website, using our Bus Stop Lookup Tool, and in ParentVUE, by selecting “additional information” under “Student Info.” In order to create more efficient routes for our drivers and families, the Department of Transportation makes a significant number of route and bus stop changes during the first 3-4 weeks of school. As a result, the School BusHub App may not work for your student until these changes are finalized. We encourage you to check back frequently.

If you have any specific scheduling questions, please contact your school directly. While not all requests can be accommodated, school counselors will do their best to provide changes necessary for required academic pathways.

Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 5, 2023. One of the most important things you can do to be ready for the school year is to complete the Online Student Verification process through your ParentVue account.
The deadline for ALL families to complete this important step is September 29, 2023; however, we encourage you to complete this process before the start of the year to provide updated emergency contact information and to ensure you continue to receive important communication from the school and district.

Say hello to Ashlynn Caylor, an intern in the “Grow Our Own” program! She is a rising 11th grader at Oscar Smith High and an intern in the CPS Communications Department. Ashlynn applied to this program to experience a professional work environment and learn about the inner workings of the school system. She has enjoyed developing new skills like video editing and professionalism in the workplace.
