Mission Statement

The mission of Oscar Smith High School is to inspire and empower students to realize their full potential as life-long learners and productive citizens in a changing world by providing a variety of challenging educational opportunities in partnership with students, parents, staff and community in a safe, encouraging environment.

About OSH

Oscar Frommel Smith High School, an International Baccalaureate Program World School, proudly hosts 2,300 diversely talented students in its fifty-sixth year of service to the citizens of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Building Hours

Oscar F Smith High School is open for student drop off at 8:30am daily.
Students may be picked up early, by a legal guardian, any time prior to 3:30pm.
The academic day runs from 8:55am to 3:53pm.
Office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm.
