Perry St. Road Closure
I’m thrilled to share our updated procedures for student drop-off and pick-up (Kiss & Ride)! These new guidelines are designed to make our process even smoother and more efficient for everyone. Please pay special attention to the time adjustments.
Morning Drop-Off:
Drop off Preparation: Please follow the 3 B’s- Belongings, Buckles and Bye-bye’s BEFORE approaching the staff member prepared to receive your child. This will help us move the line quickly.
Traffic Pattern: After turning onto Park Avenue, continue straight and make a left into the faculty parking lot. Proceed to the end of the parking lot and turn left at the playground. Continue along the road behind the baseball field and playground, then make a U-turn to enter the parent drop-off/pick-up line. After making the U-turn, the playground will be on your right. Remain in the line until you reach the designated drop-off/pick-up area just before the dumpsters. Please stay to the right, in the lane closest to the school. This helps maintain a safe distance between students exiting vehicles and moving traffic.
Student Exit: All students must exit the car promptly on the passenger side of the vehicle when they arrive at the drop-off area (within the safety cones). If your student is capable of opening their own door they are welcomed to do so. This simple step keeps things moving and ensures our students get to their classrooms on time, ready to learn! When exiting the vehicle, students should walk safely behind the cones and our dedicated RBW staff, staying close to the curb as they enter the building.
Updated Time: The morning drop-off line closes promptly at 7:30 AM, so please arrive on time!
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures:
Pick-Up Time: To keep things running smoothly, please make sure to pick up your child by 2:20 PM. Timely pick-up helps avoid any unnecessary delays.
Pick-Up Line Closure: The pick-up line will close promptly at 2:20 PM. After this time, any remaining students will be taken to the front office, and parents/guardians will need to pick them up there with a valid picture ID.
Placard Requirement: Safety first! Please remember to bring the white RBW placard provided by the school when picking up your child. This placard helps us quickly and securely identify you, so we can get your child to you without any delay.
Placard Placement: As you enter the Kiss & Ride line, please hold up your placard or hang it from your rear view mirror to ensure it is visible to the RBW staff member. Once the number is verified, the staff member will prepare your child for dismissal.
Missing Placard: Individuals who enter the Kiss & Ride line without a school-issued placard may experience delays in dismissal. You will be asked to show your identification and provide your student’s name. Once the identification has been verified we will release your student.
