Starting Monday, September 30, the intersection of Holly Avenue and Rodgers Street will be closed. Truitt families must review the Hampton Roads Sanitation Division (HRSD) map to review the detour traffic flow and where the work zones will be. There are also blue lines on the map that show where parent drop-off and pick-up will be relocated.
Changes to Parent Pick-Up and Drop-Off at Truitt Intermediate
The crossing guard will now be located at Holly Avenue and Decatur Street.
No cars will be permitted to travel beyond Decatur Street along Holly Avenue.
Parent pickup and drop off will line up down Holly Avenue along the Lakeside Park fence.
Walkers will not be able to use the intersection at Holly and Rodgers. All walkers will need to either walk to Decatur Street to cross over Holly Avenue or walk to Richmond Street to cross over Rodgers Street.
Only School Staff and Buses will be permitted to enter the back parking lot 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Bus traffic will remain the same.
