The School Board of Chesapeake Public Schools (CPS) approved Superintendent Dr. Jared Cotton’s recommendation at the August 14, 2023, School Board meeting to appoint the following individuals to new roles within the district:

Dr. Angela L. Corprew-Boyd, from administrative substitute, to supervisor, Chesapeake Juvenile Services Education Program.

The following individuals were selected to fill assistant principal 1 positions for the 2023-2024 school year. These appointments do not require Board action.

Mr. Anthony H. Otter, social studies teacher, Deep Creek Middle, to assistant principal 1, Thurgood Marshall Elementary.

Mr. Casey C. Smith, English teacher, Deep Creek High, to assistant principal 1, Chesapeake Center for Student Success.
