The School Board of Chesapeake Public Schools approved Superintendent Dr. Jared Cotton’s recommendation at the June 29, 2026, School Board meeting to appoint the following individuals to new roles within the district effective July 1, 2026.
Ms. Vashti M. Dancy, from school counselor, Hickory Middle, to supervisor of student support, School Administration Building
Dr. Karitta A. Page, from assistant principal, Deep Creek Middle, to assistant principal, Western Branch High
Ms. Ayanna C. Dorsey, from teacher, Greenbrier Middle, to assistant principal, Deep Creek Middle
