Our teachers plant seeds of knowledge and help students bloom!
Our district is home to thousands of dynamic teachers who cultivate curiosity, nurture growth, and empower all learners to blossom into their highest potential! Like dedicated gardeners tending precious seedlings, our teachers provide essential nourishment for bright futures to take hold. We hope you will join us during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9) to celebrate the work they perform each day, helping to grow the vibrant futures of our students!
“The teacher is one who makes two ideas grow where only one grew before.” - Elbert Hubbard
Help Us Sow the Seeds of Gratitude!
We encourage students, parents, community members, and even colleagues to celebrate their favorite teachers. We have created a form that will automatically send your teacher a message of gratitude. There is no limit on how many messages you can send - so don't let that stop you from expressing all of your gratitude! We encourage you to share how your favorite teacher helped plant the seeds for your (or your child's) future or remind them of a special moment when they helped something wonderful take root. Your message will be delivered with care to your teacher and could also be featured on our website or social media channels.
“The educator is like a good gardener, whose function is to make available healthy, fertile soil in which a young plant can grow strong roots.” - E. F. Schumacher
Visit Your School Website
If you are interested in doing more to recognize your teacher, we encourage you to check with your school or PTA to see if they have other special celebrations planned. At the very least, we hope you will take the time to send this note showing your support; it's like adding sunshine to the amazing work they do!
