🎒 Level Up & Stay "Summer Strong" with District Learning Bags
During the final weeks of the 2025-2026 school year, every student in our Chesapeake Preschool Initiative (CPI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs, and all students in grades K through 8th-grade will be bringing home a specialized Summer Learning Bag. These bags are packed with grade-level specific resources designed to bridge the gap between school and home, turning summer break into a launchpad for the upcoming school year.
Summer Learning bags are being distributed throughout the district to all current students in grades K-8 and all students enrolled in CPI & ECSE!

Digital Extensions: A special QR code granting access to 10 interactive IXL lessons tailored to your child's needs.

You don’t need to turn your living room into a rigid classroom to keep your child’s "thinking muscles" in peak condition. The secret to staying summer-strong is simply doing a little bit every day!
The 15-Minute Workout: Just 15 to 30 minutes a day with the workbook or an IXL lesson makes a massive difference. Think of it as a quick mental sprint!
Read and Discuss: Dive into the reading materials together. Ask open-ended questions about the stories to boost critical thinking.
