🎶 Our 3rd Graders Shined on Stage! 🎶
A huge bravo to our amazing 3rd graders for their wonderful music performances last night and again tonight! Their hard work, joyful singing, and big smiles filled the room with pride.
Thank you to our families for coming out to support them, and to our incredible music team for helping our students shine so brightly! 🌟
We are SO proud of our performers—what a fantastic two-night show! 💙🎤🎼

Field Trip Fun! 🔥
Our preschoolers had the best day visiting the local fire station! They got to meet real firefighters, explore the fire trucks, hear the sirens (a fan favorite!), and learn all about fire safety in a hands-on, kid-friendly way.
Their faces lit up with excitement as they tried on gear, asked big questions, and discovered how firefighters help keep our community safe. ❤️👩🚒👨🚒
A huge thank you to our amazing local firefighters for welcoming our little learners and giving them an unforgettable experience!

🌈 Our 1st Graders Are Graphing with Skittles! 🍬📊
Today our first graders turned math time into a sweet adventure! Students sorted, counted, and created colorful graphs using Skittles—because who says learning can’t be delicious? 😄
They practiced organizing data, comparing quantities, and of course… resisting the urge to snack until the very end! 😉
We love seeing hands-on activities make math come alive! 💛🍭

Nothing better than walking through the halls with your best friends by your side! 💕👫 Our little Falcons are learning that kindness, laughter, and friendship make every day a little brighter. 🌟🦅

🎉 Happy 50th Day of School! 🎉
Our fabulous first graders rocked their 50’s attire today—from poodle skirts to slicked-back hair—and celebrated hitting this milestone in true retro style! 💖🕺✨
To top it off, students had a sweet time graphing their own root beer floats. Nothing like a little math mixed with some bubbly fun! 🧮🥤
Here’s to 50 days of learning, laughter, and memories… and many more to come! 💛📚

🍪🗺 Our 1st graders turned geography into a tasty adventure! They created edible Virginias, marking important cities with sweet treats. 🍬🌟
Who knew learning about our state could be so delicious? 😋💙

🇺🇸 Reminder, Falcons! 🇺🇸
All Chesapeake Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
We honor and thank all who have served our country. ❤️💙

🎉 We’re so proud to share that Mrs. Ratz has been named a finalist for Chesapeake Public Schools Elementary Teacher of the Year! 🎉
Mrs. Ratz brings so much joy, positivity, and dedication to her students and colleagues each and every day. Her students love learning because she makes every lesson engaging and full of heart. 💛🍎
Join us in congratulating Mrs. Ratz on this well-deserved recognition! 👏👏

The upcoming holiday season is filled with excitement, but it can also be a time when some of our families need a little extra support. 💛 🎙 In our newest episode of Amplified, we sit down with Lisa Kerry, one of our Family & Community Engagement (FACE) specialists and Nischelle Buffalow from Buffalow Family and Friends to talk about partnership, compassion, and how our community works together to make sure no one feels alone this season. 🎧 Hear the stories, learn how to access support, and discover ways to get involved at cpschools.com/amplified or wherever you get your podcasts. #EmpowerCPS #CPSCelebrates

Our preschoolers got hands-on (and a little messy!) exploring the inside of a pumpkin today! 🎃🤚 They scooped, squished, and discovered all the slimy seeds and stringy insides while using their senses to explore. 🍂 It was the perfect mix of science, fun, and fall! 🍁💛

Our annual Character Parade on October 31st was a storybook come to life! 📚✨ Students and staff dressed up as their favorite book characters and proudly marched through the halls, showing off their creativity and love for reading. 💫 From superheroes to storybook classics, it was a magical way to celebrate imagination and literacy! 🎭❤️

📣 Reminder, Falcon families! There will be no school for students tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4, due to a Teacher Work Day. 💙✏️

Our Lost and Found is bursting at the seams! 🎒🧥🥤 From lonely hoodies to runaway water bottles, there’s a whole crew of missing items waiting to go home! 😄 Stop by soon to help them find their way back home!

Double buns, double the fun! 🎀✨ Some of our kindergarten crew was serving up the sweetest (and spookiest!) matching hair vibes yesterday. We can’t handle all this cuteness! 😍🎃
