During center time, they became the helpers — firefighters, doctors, police officers, and more! Through dramatic play and hands-on activities, they explored how community helpers work together to keep us safe and healthy.

What a fun and engaging Math Night at Food Lion last week! 🛒➕➖
Our students had the best time putting their math skills to work in real life — from estimating totals and comparing prices to calculating discounts and sticking to a budget. It was amazing to see them confidently applying what they’ve been learning in the classroom in a real-world setting!
A huge thank you to Food Lion for hosting us and supporting our students in such a meaningful way. And thank you to our families who joined in on the fun — learning together makes it even more special!

Our 4th graders traveled back in time today without ever leaving school! 🏛️✨
Thanks to the Jamestown Outreach Program, students experienced an exciting in-house field trip filled with hands-on learning about early American history. They explored what life was like for settlers, learned about survival in the New World, and asked thoughtful questions that showed just how engaged they were.
Experiences like this bring history to life in ways textbooks simply can’t. We are so grateful for the opportunity to make learning interactive, meaningful, and fun for our students! 💙📚

🍫➗ Sweet Learning in First Grade! ➗🍫
Our first graders had a deliciously fun math lesson using Hershey chocolate bars to explore halves and fourths! By breaking the bars into equal parts, students were able to see and understand fractions in a hands-on (and tasty!) way.
Learning is even sweeter when you can see it, touch it… and maybe even enjoy a small bite at the end! 😉
