🐶This week, Ms. Bottum had her 3rd grade students conduct some research on the Chesapeake Animal Services website. Each student chose an adoptable animal and learned about their animal's unique personality and needs. Then they created personalized drawings and wrote letters for each animal's "future forever family."
😺 Yesterday, Ms. Bottum personally delivered these precious messages to the shelter, and even got to meet some of these sweet fur and feather babies in person! In fact, these loving animals are waiting RIGHT NOW for their forever homes. Your new best friend could be just a visit away, and you’ll get to see some beautiful artwork and read some pretty awesome letters while you’re there!
🐔 Way to go, Ms. Bottom for creating a project that teaches compassion, responsibility, and community service while helping real animals in need!

BRI's school counselor, Mrs Hayden, was awarded Child Advocate of the Year for the entire city of Chesapeake at the CCPTA dinner last night! Our students and staff are so proud of her- she helps the school in a million different ways, always with a smile on her face.
