A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Volunteer Appreciation Reception! They say it takes a village, but we’re pretty sure our village is powered by these individuals who show up for our kids to enrich them in so many ways!
Our school thrives because you choose to roll up your sleeves, and make things happen for our students. Whether you spent an hours putting books on shelves in the library or a Friday night running a festival, we see you and we appreciate you.
A big thank you to our PTA President-Chelsie Ardelan! Your service to our school the last four years does not go unnoticed and we love you!

A huge THANK YOU to Rainbow Puppets for visiting us today! 🌈✨
Our students were absolutely mesmerized by the show. There’s nothing quite like seeing stories come to life to remind us all why reading is such a grand adventure.
We loved the music, the laughs, and the message. You’ve definitely sparked some new "reading fever" in our hallways! 📚🎭

Together, we honored 166 dedicated employees whose service, leadership, and compassion have helped shape the lives of students, staff, families, and our entire community. Together, they represent 3,499 collective years of commitment to public education and student success. #CPSCelebrates #EmpowerCPS

Why we love Nurse Shanan:
The Magic Touch: She knows exactly how to fix a "boo-boo" and a bad mood at the same time.
Patience of a Saint: She handles our kindergartners, first graders, and second graders with endless grace.
Safety First: She keeps our community healthy so our students can focus on what they do best—learning and playing!

It’s time to rally together for a great cause! This week, Butts Road Primary is hosting our Pizza Pals fundraiser to support the Karen Berry Scholarship fund. Karen Berry was a beloved teacher here at BRP, and this scholarship helps high school seniors who once walked our halls pay for their college expenses. Let’s show our generosity and help our former students reach their dreams!
How it Works:
When: Monday, April 20th – Friday, April 24th.
Morning Collection: Homeroom teachers will collect donations every morning this week.
The Big Prize: At the end of the week, ONE lucky class will earn a pizza party with our princiPALS to celebrate their kindness!
Which class will take the lead? Let’s get those donations in and support our future graduates! 🍕✨

Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible women who keep our school running smoothly every single day: Mrs. Greene, Mrs. Hill, and Mrs. Ferrell! From solving problems to greeting every student with a smile, these three are the true heart and soul of our front office. They wear a dozen different hats, and they do it all with grace, patience, and a whole lot of school spirit.
Mrs. Greene: For her endless organized magic. ✨
Mrs. Hill: For organizing all of our students beautifully. 📋
Mrs. Ferrell: For being the friendly face we all need in the morning. 👋
We are so lucky to have this powerhouse trio on our team. If you see them in the office today, make sure to say a huge THANK YOU for everything they do!
