Important Update: Classroom Water Bottle Guidelines
To maintain a calm, focused, and safe learning environment for our students, Deep Creek Middle School is implementing an updated policy regarding water bottles in classrooms.
All students are expected to bring a clear, plastic, spill-proof water bottle for daily use.
Quick Policy Breakdown
Material: Transparent plastic only. Please refrain from sending metal, stainless steel, or opaque containers to school.
Contents: Clear water only.
Why This Update?
While keeping our students hydrated is incredibly important, this adjustment helps us address two key classroom needs:
Minimizing Startling Disruptions: Large metal containers create a loud, echoing noise disruption when they accidentally tip over onto hard classroom floors.
Quick Safety Verification: Transparent bottles allow our school staff to easily verify the container's contents at a glance, ensuring a safe and distraction-free environment for everyone.
