Together, we honored 166 dedicated employees whose service, leadership, and compassion have helped shape the lives of students, staff, families, and our entire community. Our talented GBI students proudly represented us at the WHRO Great Computer Challenge that was held at Old Dominion University!
We took 6 incredible teams to compete in:
Graphic Design, Video Editing, Coding, Desktop Presentation, Desktop Publishing, and Internet Scavenger Hunt.
All of our participating Wildcats left with an amazing experience and brought home some amazing honors:
🥇 1st Place – Graphic Design
🥈 2nd Place – Video Editing
🥈 2nd Place – Coding
We took 6 incredible teams to compete in:

4th graders at Great Bridge Intermediate had an incredible in-house field trip as Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Outreach brought history to life right in our classrooms. Students were immersed in hands-on learning, explored life in early Virginia, and experienced history in a way that made the past feel real, relevant, and exciting.

Today was such a fun and creative day at GBI! We had our Vocabulary Word Parade, and it was amazing to see everyone bring words to life through costumes. From “brave” to “magnificent,” each student showed off their word with so much creativity and confidence.
Learning new words has never been this exciting! So proud of all the effort and imagination that went into today. 💡✨

Our GBI students transformed the classroom into a living Wax Museum! After researching influential figures, each student became their chosen person—dressed in character, standing still like a statue… until YOU brought them to life 💡
With the push of a button, these “figures” lit up and began speaking in first person, sharing their stories, accomplishments, and impact on the world. From start to finish, the dedication, creativity, and confidence on display were incredible!
