It is fire prevention week! Inspector Gibbs and Chief Gulisano from the Chesapeake Fire Department came in to show us Cinco, the 8 year old FIRE DOG, that has been working with the fire dept for the last 6 years. Cinco works for the fire dept as an accelerant sniffing dog. After a fire he goes and sniffs the house to find out where the fire started and how it started. He is 1 of only 60 dogs in the country that does this. After inspector Gibbs read a story to the class about what they do he put on a demonstration in the courtyard where Cinco had to sniff out accelerant (gasoline) that was about 1-2ml (not even enough to dampen the end of a Qtip).
