We’ve officially been on chick watch as eggs have started hatching in our incubators. Thanks to our new PTA-funded incubator in the STEAM Lab, we already have 11 chicks hatched and more on the way! Kindergarten and second grade have both welcomed five chicks too!
Students have loved observing the process up close and watching these tiny chicks make their big debut. 💛

Last month, we had our very own April Power of the Peake recipient, our amazing Cafeteria Manager, Mrs. Moore!
Mrs. Moore does an amazing job in our cafeteria each day, helping ensure our students are cared for and have a positive mealtime experience. We are so thankful for her hard work and dedication to GBP!
Congratulations, Mrs. Moore! 🎉

Together, we honored 166 dedicated employees whose service, leadership, and compassion have helped shape the lives of students, staff, families, and our entire community. Together, they represent 3,499 collective years of commitment to public education and student success. #CPSCelebrates #EmpowerCPS

From classrooms and cafeterias to buses, offices, and beyond, we thank our retirees for the lasting difference they have made across our district. 🌟

Our teachers pour so much of themselves into their classrooms each and every day—encouraging, supporting, teaching, loving, and believing in their students. The impact they make reaches far beyond academics, and GBP is better because of them!
While we couldn’t fit every amazing teacher into the photos on this post, today we celebrate all of them and the countless ways they make a difference every single day. Thank you, teachers, for all that you do. You are deeply appreciated this week and always!

Today we celebrate Nurse Hill for the care, kindness, and support she gives our students and staff every day. We are so grateful for you! 🩺✨

In Ms. Murphy’s class, students explored cubes and rectangular prisms by creating real-world examples and Mrs. Moore’s class got hands-on building models with toothpicks and marshmallows!
