Our Wildcats returned yesterday ready to learn, grow, make memories, and SHINE! ✨ We loved welcoming our students back to GBP and kicking off a brand-new school year together.

Morning Arrival Update!
Beginning Tuesday, all students arriving by car will enter the building through the bus entrance. After exiting the vehicle, students will walk through the designated gate and follow the sidewalk along the bus ramp into the building. This will be our permanent morning drop-off procedure.
This change adds an extra layer of safety, provides stronger supervision, and creates a consistent arrival routine for all of our Wildcats.
A few important reminders:
-Doors open at 7:15 a.m. Please do not drop students off before this time, as supervision is not available.
-School begins at 7:35 a.m.
-Please follow staff directions during drop-off and have your child exit when directed.
-Families are encouraged to take advantage of bus transportation whenever available.
Please allow a little extra time during the first few mornings as we get familiar with the new routine. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Wildcats safe and help every student start their day ready to SHINE! ✨

Our June Students of the Month! These students were recognized for showing citizenship while at school. Way to go! 🐾💚🥳
Our second graders had a fun-filled Ready for Summer STEAM Day on Friday! Students used Beebots and Bluebots to "Catch the Mermaid," created 3D sandcastle masterpieces, shared their summer stories through pattern bracelets, and engineered flash card towers strong enough to hold a beach ball. Such a creative way to celebrate a fantastic year of learning! 🌊☀️🐚

The last day to claim items from our Lost & Found is Monday, June 16. Please encourage your child to check for any missing jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, or other belongings before the last day of school. Any items remaining after the last day of school will be donated.

Our second graders visited GBI on Monday for Move Up Day! They had the opportunity to tour their future school and learn what third grade will look like next year.
While we're excited to see all they accomplish in the years ahead, we're definitely going to miss this special group of Wildcats. Once a GBP Wildcat, always a GBP Wildcat! 💚💛🐾
Just a reminder: Now through Tuesday, June 9, our PTA is collecting new or gently used board games on behalf of the Great Bridge Woman’s Club to donate to Treakle Elementary. Games can be sent in with students and brought to the front office.

Mrs. Teeman’s and Mrs. Scott’s classes are published authors! They worked hard to turn their how-to writing into a published class book.
