We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of the Class of 2026 this evening. We want to extend a special congratulations to our 12 Grizzly Medallion of Distinction recipients for their outstanding dedication, leadership, service, and excellence to Grassfield High School.

Tomorrow is an early release for students with culminating assessments scheduled for block 1 and block 2.

Last night, our seniors celebrated Prom at The Main, enjoying an unforgettable evening filled with dancing, laughter, and memories with friends. Congratulations to our Prom King, Trevor Whitted, and our Prom Queen, Sophie Rambo!

Congratulations to Jolie Dillard on receiving the Chesapeake Public Schools’ Health Professionals Association Scholarship! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to pursuing a future in healthcare have truly paid off. We are so proud of your achievement and excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in the future. 🎉👏

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.At Grassfield, we recognize the sacrifices of our military connected students, staff, and families, and we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Tonight we celebrated our amazing seniors from girls soccer, varsity baseball, and varsity soccer. Thank you for the memories, leadership, and pride you’ve brought to Grassfield over the years! To top off the night, the senior class got to cool down with some free Kona Ice while soaking in one of the final senior event before prom and graduation. Hard to believe the countdown is officially on! 🎓✨

Tonight at the school board meeting, several of our students were recognized for their outstanding achievements. Congratulations to Zaide Burney for receiving the VHSL Academic Activity Achievement Award! Also recognized were Josh Molitor, SCA President, & Camryn Pogorzelski, Senior Class President.

Last Thursday, we gathered for our district retirement ceremony to celebrate the “Noteworthy Impact” our 2026 retirees have made across Chesapeake Public Schools. 💙✨

Together, we honored 166 dedicated employees whose service, leadership, and compassion have helped shape the lives of students, staff, families, and our entire community. Together, they represent 3,499 collective years of commitment to public education and student success. #CPSCelebrates #EmpowerCPS

Neal Challa was recognized as a Top 20 Under 20 award recipient by the Hampton Roads Workforce Council for his community service initiative ColorinSight that works to bring awareness about color vision deficiency. Congratulations!

“Mr. Casassa has made a profound impact on my junior year. He is my STEM teacher, and while he is great at teaching global communications, I appreciate him even more as a person. He is always willing to help me, but he does it in a way that actually makes me learn. He doesn't just give me the answer; he makes me really think about the material taught and try to apply it in different ways. He tries to remind us each day that in the real world, things won't just be handed to you, and I wish more teachers did that.
