Proceeds from this event will go to the AEM Foundation Memorial Scholarship Fund. The foundation established the scholarship to help provide support to Grassfield High School students seeking to improve themselves through higher education in the field of athletic training or other medical fields in memory of Anne Elizabeth McKim, the school's and CHKD's late athletic trainer. To date, over 30 students have benefited from this scholarship fund and approx. $45,000 has been issued to these Grassfield High School students.

During the month of October, we join schools throughout the Commonwealth and nationwide to celebrate Disability History and Awareness Month. Join us as we celebrate the important contributions of individuals with disabilities to our schools and community. #CPSCelebrates

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Together, we can educate others and raise awareness to combat bullying and cyberbullying. We encourage you to use this month to participate in acts of kindness and speak up when someone is being bullied.

Congratulations to our Marching Grizzlies. This weekend the they competed in Hickory HS's Southeastern VA Music Games & earned 1st Place in Music, Visual, General Effect, Colorguard, & Percussion. This earned them 1st place for their class & winning Grand Champion over all !




Congratulations to our Boys & Girls XC teams for their outstanding performances at the Southeastern District Invitational! Both teams came away with victories!

Due to inclement weather, all after-school and evening activities for today, September 27, 2024, are canceled. YMCA child care and Boys and Girls Club will remain open this afternoon.

We are pleased to announce the start of the after-school study hall on Tuesday, October 8th. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM, covering the subjects of Math, Biology, World History 1, and English. Students will need to arrange their own transportation. More detailed schedules are posted on class canvas pages.

In Mrs. Todd's World History 2 class the students worked together to gather vital information about Enlightenment philosophers. They compiled their information to create a “Body of Facts” which included their political philosophies and ways they influenced the United States government and founding fathers!
