As we gear up for the start of an exciting new school year, we’re pleased to announce the Chromebook distribution schedule in conjunction with opportunities to take care of important back-to-school tasks! Please review the details below for your student’s grade level:
Location for All Days: In front of the HHS Auditorium
August 18 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Seniors (12th Grade)
Seniors will be able to:
Pick up their Chromebook
Purchase a parking permit
Submit payment and forms to paint their parking space (optional – details below)
Important: Seniors must be up to date on their immunizations in order to purchase a Parking Pass! If needed, students may bring proof of their Meningococcal vaccine to show the school nurse.
August 19 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Juniors (11th Grade)
Juniors will be able to:
Pick up their Chromebook
Purchase a parking permit (if needed)
August 20 | 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Sophomores (10th Grade)
10th graders will be able to:
Pick up their Chromebook
August 21 | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Freshmen (9th Grade)
Freshmen will receive their Chromebooks during First Flight, our orientation event at HHS.
Freshman class dues can be paid here

Make-Up Opportunity:
If your student is unable to attend their assigned pick-up date between August 18–20, they are welcome to attend on a different date within that window. Please note that August 21 is reserved for incoming 9th graders and new students attending First Flight only.
Students who are not able to pick up their device August 18th-21st will be issued their device the first week of school.
Parking passes will be sold throughout the school year during all lunches.
Parking Application Process
Students who wish to obtain a parking permit must complete the following steps:
Complete the HHS Parking Application Google Form.
Print and sign the Hickory High School Parking Permit Certification Form.
Pay the parking fee through Online School Payments (OSP).
Bring all of the following items on pick-up day to receive a parking permit:
Printed and signed Parking Permit Certification Form
Driver’s license
Proof of insurance
SENIORS ONLY – Paint Your Spot Option:
If you would like to paint your parking space, please:
Complete the Paint Your Spot Application
Email it to Mrs. Evans at kimberly.evans@cpschools.com for approval
Once approved, pay the $20 “Paint Your Spot” fee via OSP
