In honor of Women's History Month in March, our Red Cross Club members made "care packages" for our female military members. They collected supplies and packed the shipping boxes for the Red Cross to deliver to women serving our country.

Some light-hearted fun led to belly laughs as Mrs. Gardner's students played an April Fool's joke on our custodian, Mr. Price.
Mrs. Gardner on the walkie: "Mr Price, there is water all over the floor in Workroom 131!"
Mr. Price: "On my way!"

Our Robotics Team, The Hawk Collective, placed 19 out of 31 in their qualification matches. They were picked by the teams on alliance 1, including The Mech Tech Dragons and Garrett Coalition. Our team then went on with alliance 1 with an undefeated record in the playoffs and won the event. This is the first time in the team's history that they have won an event. The team has received medals, an award, a placard, and even a blue banner to show off the win.
We wouldn’t have been able to do it without our team leads, including Hayden Gray, Anna Bongiovanni, and Abigail Tompkins, as well as our drive team, consisting of Jayden Bolling-Marquez, Michael Petty, Jacob Meier, and Riley Meyer.
The team has qualified for District Championships for the second year in a row, which will be held at Showplace Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This event takes place April 3 to April 6, and the Hawk Collective is very excited. If you happen to see someone who is on the robotics team, make sure to congratulate them for their hard work.
