Personal Fitness 2 went to Universal Fitness to visit a local gym. Dawn from Universal showed the students how to use machines and equipment that are not available at the high school and the students enjoyed designing their own workout!

A team from the Culinary Arts II classes competed at NASA Langley today for the NASA Hunch Culinary Challenge! After months of research and recipe development, the students executed their recipe following strict dietary guidelines for astronauts in the microgravity environment. They presented in front of 10 chefs and NASA officials, and will find out in a few weeks if they advance to Houston. The students have worked hard and did an absolutely outstanding job!!







Each year the Access College Foundation has our College Commitment Day, a massive celebration filled with food, fun, scholarship giveaways, and much more for students who have been accepted into a 2-year, 4-year college!!!! This event will be on 4/23/24 at ODU from 930AM-130PM!!! Almost $40,000 in scholarships were given away at this event last year! We will have a pizza party when we get back to school!!

To end Civilizations at 1500 unit, Mrs. Wilhelm’s honors World History II students built famous landmarks using only straws and paper. Creations were then judged by Ms. Powers and Mr. Decker for their structure’s accuracy. With a unanimous decision the Great Wall of China won.
